The Leroy McAbee, Sr. Activity Center, situated adjacent to the VA Hospital, opened April 1, 1998. Features include a gym with multipurpose flooring, a cardiovascular fitness area, a community room, a game room, an aerobics/dance room, a multipurpose room that divides into two separate areas, a meeting room, a spacious courtyard/patio, a catering kitchen, and the Dr. James R. Dockery Indoor Therapeutic/Fitness Pool which was dedicated July 4, 1998.
